I like to go all out with Halloween decorations or, as my husband calls it, “overboard”.
I can’t help it, I just love holidays! And Halloween is no exception!
I also LOVE homemade decorations! Not only as they easier on my budget, they’re also a fun, festive activity!
When my son was in daycare, they did tons of cute, seasonal crafts with him. I especially loved all of the sweet hand and foot prints!
Now that I’m a stay-at-home mom, I’m always looking for inspiration for crafts we can do together.
So, with fall approaching, I’ve found my favorite Halloween crafts and activities for little kids that can double as decorations.

1 | Pumpkin Buttons from Doodlecraft
This pumpkin is so incredibly awesome, it’s kind of amazing that kids made it, and, seriously, when framed this looks like a decoration I’d buy in a store.
2 | Beaded Pumpkin Craft for kids from Glue Sticks and Gumdrops
These beaded pumpkins are adorable as well as a great motor skill activity!
3 | Easy Hanging Jack-o-lanterns from Rainy Day Mum
4 | Fall Pumpkin Patch Felt Board from Savvy Sweet Life
Well, this one mom may need to make, but I know my littles would love to play with it.
On a similar note of felt boards, Amazon sells this Felt Halloween Tic Tac Toe Game that is also sure to be a huge hit!
I can’t resist making these gingerbread inspired spooky cookie houses. While, yes, you can actually make all of it from scratch, and I’m sure there’s a tutorial somewhere for that, I prefer to just buy the Wilton Ready-to-Decorate Halloween Chocolate Cookie House kit.
I really like the idea of these plastic Candy Cottage Gingerbread Houses that you can decorate, wash, and reuse for any holiday.
This puzzle pumpkin is super cute and looks really easy to make! This is a perfect way to use a jigsaw puzzle that’s missing pieces.
7 | Halloween Party Candy Corn Banner from The Pin Junkie
This is such a clever and easy way to make a banner!
8 | Pumpkin Foam Faces Fridge Magnet from The Flying Couponer
Mom (or Dad!) may need to do the initial assembly, but little ones will enjoy changing the faces over and over.
